I'll be showing it on Y/W's big screen and with their recording of Linea filling the air, so it will be the best condition to check it out in before I finish it. Thanks to everyone who visited my studio during BOS 2012. I met and talked to an astounding number of people over those two days, and I enjoyed every minute of it. If you'd like to get in touch or be on my mailing list, you can either email me or find me on FB.

On Saturday 6/2 and Sunday 6/3, myself and Yarn/Wire will be opening our studio from 12pm to 7pm for Bushwick Open Studios. I'll be showing recent work, including my new piece Aphorisms, so if you missed seeing it last time you can now see it a few feet away from where I made it. Exciting! I'll also be showing a work-in-progress, tentatively titled A Building Explains Itself. The piece is my contribution to Y/W's Linea project, where myself and dancer Leah Cox were asked to make a work in response to Luciano Berio's Linea using Y/W's recent recording of the piece. If that wasn't enough, on Saturday Y/W percussionist Russell Greenberg will be performing a section of David Bithell's new multi-media work Difference Engine at 1pm and 4pm (info on the full performance below). So please come and visit; not only will you get to see our studio, but you'll be able to visit the work and exhibition spaces of all the other artist's in my building.

I just made a page for this piece with a suscinct description and a video exerpt. You can also see a few still images on the Recession Art site, as well as on the show card (thanks RA!).

I've been working on a collaborative project with ensemble Yarn/Wire and dancer Leah Cox. Using a new recording of Lucio Berio's Linea performed by Yarn/Wire as a point of referrence, Leah and I will create a solo dance piece and a video piece respectively. We'll be presenting all three works together at Troutman Hall on December 14th and 15th. I'll post more details about the event soon; if you'd like to receive email updates about this (and other) projects, email me here.

I've got several other video/installation projects in the works. If you're interested in a preivew of these new works, get in touch!
